Jeff's Trip To The Moon

A Circular Poem By Grade 5W and Mr. Dennis Fuller 1996

Jeff Rhino bounced on his tramp
And landed on the moon,
He danced just like a chimpanzee
He looked just like a goon.

Out of the misty darkness,
Some little green men appeared,
Wearing pink pyjamas
And all with a yellow beard.

They came along from outer space,
And threatened Jeff with spears,
Jeff stood up on his two hind legs
And filled his face with tears.

They gathered in a circle,
Around the bawling beast,
They threw their spears into the ground,
And yelled, "Oh what a feast!"

Jeff was scared of surrounding spears,
Which was really an electric fence,
They all released mechanical mice,
Which made Jeff really tense.

Jeff was really petrified,
So began to back away,
He crashed into the fence of spears
And made his getaway.

As he was escaping
He tripped and got a cramp,
He tumbled down, back down to earth
Upon his beloved tramp.
