(Michelle's Report)

On Tuesday the 14th of May our grade (4/5 B) went to the R.S.L. We all walked there, Mr McLean came with us. It didn’t take long to walk there. As we arrived they greeted us. They were all very friendly. Each of them gave a little talk about some of things from the wars and life in the war.

In another room there were things from the Vietnam War. Just about everyone asked questions and the people answered them. The table had a lot of models and things from the war.

When everyone had finished looking around, we all sat down and presented a huge poster to the R.S.L. We made the poster to say thankyou to all the people who have represented our country in all the wars. Rebecca Jones made a speech to say thankyou on behalf of our grade. The members of the R.S.L really appreciated our effort.

While we had been listening and looking the ladies in the kitchen had been making us lunch. We all filed into the kitchen and they handed us our food. The food was party pies, sausage rolls, sauce, small hot dogs, sandwiches and a can of fizzy drink. This food was very nicely cooked, I think the ladies did a good job.

The whole visit was fantastic and all the kids in our grade learnt a lot. Thankyou to Emerald R.S.L!
