(Andrew's Report)

On Tuesday 4/5B went to the Emerald R.S.L [which means Returned Servicemens’ League]. Liam and I were carrying the poster that 4/5B had made. The poster was to say thankyou to all the people who served in all the wars.

When we got to the R.S.L, we all went in. First we went to look at some things in a glass cabinet. There were some very interesting things in it like grenades, remote mines, and gas masks. On top there was a small cannon. On the walls, there was a picture of the legendary plane called the ‘Spitfire.’ This was a very fast plane, and could dodge missiles very easily. There were some pictures of some carriers [BIG ships that carried supplies.]

After this we all went into another room. We saw some traps with ‘punge’ sticks. They had some poison in the tip of the stick, so it would poison the soldier who fell into a punge pit, or ran into a punge trap. For Lunch, we had a choice of a drink, party pies, and small sausage rolls. We all had a great day at the R.S.L.
