Welcome to the grade 4 camp at Sovereign Hill.

 

Each year the grade 4 kids at Emerald Primary School

Go to Sovereign Hill for their camp.

Sovereign Hill is setup to be like it was in the gold rush

There is still gold in the river and here is a picture (click here) of some of the kids at Emerald Primary School gold panning.

 

There was also a school where we learnt how to write in ink and quill in olden day writing. We also saw toys from the gold rush they are nothing like the toys we have today. Some of the kids in our grade dressed up in olden day clothes. Here is a photo of kids dressing up.

 

 

Lots of kids went on a horse and carriage ride down the main street of Sovereign Hill. Here is a photo of the main street of Sovereign Hill.
